About Turimere — Pregnancy-Safe Turmeric Skincare

Turimere began in a small kitchen.

My abuela mixed curcuma — turmeric — by hand. It was her remedy for dark spots, dullness, and skin that needed a reset. I grew up watching that ritual, and Turimere is built on it: turmeric as the heart of every formula, modernized with stable actives that actually work on melanin-rich skin.

Why I started Turimere

Turimere was born during my pregnancy — when everything I put on my body suddenly mattered more than ever. I was shocked to learn how many skincare products I'd been using contained ingredients that weren't considered pregnancy-safe. At the same time, pregnancy triggered melasma and dark spots I had never experienced before.

I felt stuck between two bad options: protect my baby, or protect my skin. I refused to believe women should have to choose.

As a Latina-American, I turned to what I trusted — turmeric, a botanical used in my culture for generations to brighten and calm the skin. But every product I found either stained everything yellow or included ingredients I was trying to avoid. So I created my own — a turmeric-powered ritual that is gentle, pregnancy-safe, and genuinely effective. When friends and family started asking for their own bottles, I knew I was onto something.

What Turimere Is

Turimere is a turmeric-led skincare line founded in 2025, built around the curcuma tradition passed down from my Latina family. Every formula is built for melanin-rich skin and safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What we make

Aesthetician-backed products across face, body, and intimate brightening:

Active ingredients we use

  • 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (3-O-EAA) — A stable, pH-neutral form of Vitamin C that does not oxidize after opening (unlike L-ascorbic acid) and does not irritate open microchannels after microneedling.
  • Turmeric (curcuma) — Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory; brightening without yellow residue thanks to formulation choices.
  • Kojic Acid — Natural tyrosinase inhibitor for dark spot brightening, derived from fermented rice.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — Brightens and reduces hyperpigmentation; strengthens the skin barrier.
  • Tranexamic Acid — Targets hormone-related melasma.
  • Squalane — Lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer.
  • Ascorbyl Glucoside — Secondary stable Vitamin C derivative.

What we don't use

  • No hydroquinone
  • No bleach
  • No retinoids
  • No fragrance irritants
  • No artificial fragrance

This formulation discipline is what makes the entire line pregnancy-safe and breastfeeding-safe.
